Can You Learn Escrima Stick Fighting? Find Out Now!

In this article, I will feature the various individuals and organizations that have studied Filipino Martial Arts. Also, I will explain the advantages of learning Escrima stick fighting and other martial arts.

Eskrima can be learned by individuals of both genders aged sixteen years and older. It's for anybody who's aim is to get not only the skill to defend themselves but also to anybody who wants to develop self-discipline and self-esteem.

Requirements to Learning Escrima Stick Fighting

Initially, there's no need to be extremely strong or have heaps of stamina to begin your training in Eskrima. The training itself will build up these qualities over time, so even a total beginner to the martial arts can cope up with the demands of training. You don't have to hold any martial arts qualifications or experience.

It's certainly always suggested that anyone who has been physically inactive for a long time or has a medical condition must seek out the advice of their GP when before engaging in any new lessons relating to physical activity, but Escrima is generally alright for such cases.

In the Philippines, loads of practitioners over sixty years old are well, proving the health advantages of the training.

Escrima Stick Fighting is Great for Both Genders

Fundamental skills in Arnis can be studied by individuals of both genders aged sixteen years and above. It's for anyone who wishes to get not only the skill to defend themselves but to anyone also wants to develop self-discipline and self-esteem.

An essential part of this noble tradition is a code of principles that are present in almost all martial art traditions and schools, which are Respect, Honesty, and Courtesy, however, they vary from art-to-art and school-to-school.

Escrima Stick Fighting is good for Kids

Mental development is incredibly important as well, and even a mere child can improve through the influence of Martial Art proficiency. The focus required in finishing long forms is very difficult for any Martial Arts practitioner – children in particular.

Concentration is enhanced when a student is asked to execute complex movements under pressure, either through sparring exercises or reflex drills. In the Balintawak Eskrima tradition, critical thinking procedures are developed in each practitioner, child, and adult. Each class encourages training with numerous partners to enhance tactical and strategic thinking.

Lectures concerning Eskrima fighting, Kali, or Arnis principles, theory and philosophy, are an essential part of the training. A fighting courage is very crucial to a Martial Artist. Even when training, all students are confronted with difficulties that are complex, leaving them with doubts and the desire to quit.

A good instructor helps coach every student through these difficult times; the child comes out of the test with a sense of self-motivation and an unconquerable spirit that helps him or her overcome greater troubles as they undergo life.

I have just discussed the benefits of learning Escrima stick fighting as well as the famous persons and groups that study it. If you have the physical and mental capacity, you can certainly learn Eskrima or other Filipino Martial Arts and become proficient!
